Who Are We?

Northern Michigan Supply Alliance staff. Northern Michigan Supply Alliance (NMSA) is a limited liability company managing over 100 million dollars of annual supply chain spend. Our owners are Munson Healthcare and Trinity Health. NMSA performs all supply chain management functions for its members, including coordination of value analysis and product selection, placing and following through on all purchase orders, managing accounts payable (including invoice payment), and all logistical functions, such as warehousing, break bulk, and internal supply distribution.

Our Mission

The three-part mission of Northern Michigan Supply Alliance (NMSA) is:

To provide excellent logistical service to our customers, which presently include Munson Healthcare, Mercy Hospital Cadillac, Mercy Hospital Grayling, West Shore Medical Center, and the Northwest Michigan Surgery Center. This service consists of all of the processes necessary to procure, receive, and distribute supplies to appropriate users within our customer facilities
Through our Product Selection & Sourcing, Order Processing, Supply Chain Information System, and Finance professionals, help manage the non-labor spend of our customers. In simple terms, this means making sure that our customers are making the most cost efficient purchasing and supply management decisions possible.
To provide access to cost efficient ancillary supply chain needs, such as print shop, courier, and transportation of supplies, linen, and equipment. Additionally, NMSA works closely with MSS Linen to provide cost efficient and convenient linen services to hospitals and healthcare providers throughout northern Michigan.
