Services

Sourcing
Product Sourcing/Selection is responsible for coordination of value analysis (intelligent product selection) contract negotiation, implementation, management and compliance, product standardization, management of supplier relations.

Logistics
This includes stockless and bulk distribution from the NMSA central warehouse, receiving and in-hospital supply delivery/distribution, par level management, and medical supply inventory management functions at all sites.

Purchasing
Inventory and non-inventory medical-surgical supplies, capital and services for all our members are being purchased by a centralized purchasing staff. MMIS database maintenance and training, electronic and physical contract files, and P-card program are also functions managed by the purchasing staff.

Print Shop
The Print Shop has a state-of-the-art Xerox digital printing system, currently processing 1,000,000 b&w impressions per month. Single-sided and double-sided printing is available on 8 ½ X 11, 8 ½ X 14, and 11 X 17 paper sizes, as well as stitched or tape-bound booklets. Drilling, cutting, and folding services are also available.

Mailroom
The Mailroom, located at Munson Medical Center, processes and delivers both U.S. postal mail and inter-office departmental mail. Mailroom services are supplied to off-site locations by delivery and pick-up services provided by the NMSA courier service.

Courier
The NMSA courier provides scheduled daily transport of U.S. mail, inter-office mail, small packages, and medical supplies to the Munson Medical Center campuses, off-site physicians offices, clinics, and the NMSA distribution center. The NMSA courier also provides delivery of home infusion products to patients of Munson Medical Center's home infusion program.

MSS Laundry
From its state-of-the-art 25,000 square foot central plant located in Traverse City, Michigan, MSS Laundry provides comprehensive linen services to nine hospitals located throughout northern Lower Michigan, along with many physician offices and clinics.
